Here is a poem that my best buddie wrote about her relationship, and I feel the same about mine so I thought I would post it. Aisha, these words ring so true! I’m in such vibrational harmony with this it’s amazing. I believe that at the deepest level of conciousness, every time a woman willingly lays with a man she is saying this.

“Don’t u know that when I lie with you

it is simply because I’m ready to build a tribe with you

repeat after me and say “I’ll protect and provide for u”

cause if not let’s move at a slower pace

cause God knows I’ve already made one too many mistakes”

I find this man’s tweets so inspirational, that I just had to share it with you. Feel free to follow him on twitter and receive your own daily inspiration/motivation! These are all quotes from Ralph Marston’s Twitter page.

Think of 1 little thing u can do today, that will improve all your tomorrows, & then do it. Repeat as often as u wish.”

“Instead of making it through, focus on making it happen.”

“Abundance is not something you get. It is something you allow yourself to experience.”

“Be the first to smile. When there is no reason to smile is when a smile is needed the most.”

“If you want to be strong, be yourself. The real strength you have is in the authentic person you are.”

“Dreams r not meant 2 forever continue as dreams. They’re yours 2b pursued, 2b fulfilled, 2b brought n2 reality as a result of your actions.”

“Now is the time to do great things, even in the smallest of ways.”

Don’t you love this man as much as I do now? Scrumptious quotes. I feel like taking action right now! I’ll have to holla at yall later!

At this point in my life, it’s not really what I expected it to be at 19. I thought I would be somewhere different but I guess that’s how it works right? You can try and try to plan something to happen indefinitely but ultimately you can’t. Now I’m not trying to say that you can’t have what you want, because you can. I’m saying that the how should not be the issue. “How will I increase my profits 50%?”, “How can I get a new car?” How should not matter, but it so often does doesn’t it? We should simply set our intentions upon that which we desire and then let go. But why is that so hard?  Why is this program so deeply programmed into my cells?

I have so many questions.

So many questions.

I tell myself that as long as I am putting one foot in front of the other then I am doing well. But what bothers me is that in the past it has taken me so long to get what most people I see have already. All throughout school I really wanted contacts because I felt that my glasses were altering the beauty of my face and every time I performed I could not see the audience because I performed without glasses. I worked jobs all throughout high school and near the end of my senior year of high school I managed to make enough to buy contacts. It changed my life forever… I could actually see the crowd when I performed and I didn’t have to remove my glasses for every picture. Getting contacts is a small change for many, but for me it meant the world. It meant that if I was determined enough I could have whatever I wanted.

You’re reading the life of a person who is never satisfied, always wants more, overindulges, and sets the standards high.

That’s a part of the enormous canvas that is me.

“One foot in front of the other.”

“Stay focused on what you desire.”

“Have you put effort towards your desires today?”

Those are some of the questions I ask myself on a daily basis. I just know that something has to break, something has to give way. Life will change for me. Life is changing for me.

Kitty Katana~

Greetings from Planet Katana. I recently had a performance in Dallas at the Backbeat Cafe and it was absolutely wonderful and there were so many talented artists. It was such a pleasure to be around them! :) So now I am heading full throttle into the next step which would of course be… having another performance! This time you will hear original music from yours truly and I’ll have more stage time than before, so you and I can fully enjoy the experience. If you want more details on the January 9th performance then by all means please visit my website KittyKatana.com.

On another note, I’m still single. :) I mingle a bit but I believe I am far more picky now than I was before. I can’t just be with anyone now can I? I haven’t had any in a while but I can’t just give it to anyone now can I? If you believe the answers to any one of  those questions is yes then please drop me a line explaining why. It has occured to me now that I should be the chooser. I pick the man that best suits me, and then I allow him to respond and take the lead. Because I have had too many experiences of letting the man choose me and then in turn that places me in the position where I must take the next step. Why should I have to lead you around? I don’t know if you have read a previous blog post where I explain my feelings on who should lead the relationship, but at this point I believe it should be the man. Because if you as the man make the decisons, then I can take care of the how with Goddess-like feminism!

So whilst I live my life before the moment of finding a mate, I think optimistically and focus on me.

You have to love yourself and know yourself at all times.
